Born in Illinois and raised in the Chicagoland area, Percival is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University where he gained his bachelor's degree in English and mass media. A lifelong fan of comic books and movies, Percival knew from a young age that he wanted to be a writer.

In late 2002, he completed the script for his first graphic novel, Perception, which is currently in the artwork stage. In 2004, Percival became associated with Affinity Press and was assigned as the assistant editor on Christopher Moshier's comic book, HaVeN. Shortly after, HaVeN broke with Affinity and Making Comics Studios was created. Sean McGrath, his fellow editor on HaVeN, asked Percival to edit his own comic, Frater Mine.

At the end of 2005, Percival completed his first novel, Fallen and published it through Lulu.com. The book is now on sale and can be purchased through various distributors. Please check the shop for more information. In addition, Percival is an amateur filmmaker and finished photography on his first short film, Russian Roulette, in December 2006. The film is currently available to view on YouTube and will soon be available on DVD.

In September of 2007, Percival began learning how to letter comics. Samples of his work can be viewed at deviantART. Percival has since provided the letters for four pages of Eric Palicki's webcomic, The Undertaker's Daughter and is providing the letters for Nick Spencer's Mike Diamond.

Currently, Percival is hard at work on his second novel, City of Dead, as well as developing a few comic book projects. He also contributes articles to Associated Content.

He draws from a number of influences, including Kurt Vonnegut Jr., William S. Burroughs, Philip K. Dick, Chuck Palahniuk, George Orwell, Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Joe Casey, Brian Wood, Takashi Miike and David Lynch among others.
